Gambitly privacy policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Gambitly is a chess openings and traps app made by Gnurt. This page explains what the app does with information about you.

What the app collects

Nothing. Gambitly has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. All opening statistics, traps and exercises are stored inside the app and work offline. The app does not send anything about you or your device to us or to anyone else.

What stays on your device

Your settings (language, rating band, sound on or off), the number of free practice games you played today, and whether Gambitly Pro is unlocked are saved on your device only. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

Purchases

Gambitly Pro is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Google processes the payment under the Google Privacy Policy; we never see your payment details. The app only receives confirmation that Pro was bought, so it can unlock it and restore it on a new install.

Data sources

The statistics come from the Lichess open database, released under the Creative Commons CC0 licence. They describe games, not you.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
